Translation Policy

The Accessible Office Documents Project welcomes translation assistance. If you are interested in translating any of the documents on this site, please contact: adod-comments@idrc.ocad.ca.

Conditions for Translation:

  • Translations by volunteer Translators are welcome and Translators will be publicly acknowledged on the project website.
  • Translations may be hosted on the IDRC's ADOD website (or may be linked to a host location arranged by the Translator) at the IDRC's discretion.
  • Translators are expected to correct reported translation errors within a reasonable period (e.g., 1 month).

Information Required within all Translated Documents:

All translated documents must include the following paragraph, with the terms marker with "@" replaced with the appropriate values:

Original title: @DOCUMENT_NAME@. First published in English in 2011 by the Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC), with the support of UNESCO's Communication and Information Sector and the Government of Ontario.
